Showcase your approach to integrating simulation into health professions curricula at 2015 SIM Expo
On December 14 and 15, the 2015 SIM Expo will proudly exhibit some of the best work in the simulation community. It is your chance to showcase your outstanding contributions during our expanded Poster Park & Poster Crawl during the event.
In line with some of Ontario institutions’ recent qualitative shift in simulation-integrated curricula, the 2015 SIM Expo is seeking poster presentations that focus on strategies, approaches, and frameworks for curriculum design to integrate simulation with other activities (including classroom, online, clinical placement, etc.) and optimize learning.
Recent examples of this shift include:
- Conestoga College has completely redesigned many of its health care curricula to better integrate simulation (with emphasis on seniors’ home care)
- U of T’s Division of Orthopaedic Surgery is using simulation and competency-based education to produce more competent surgeons in less time
Poster submissions will be accepted up to and including Monday, November 16, 2015.
The 2015 SIM Expo – Canada’s largest health care simulation event – will take place at the InterContinental Toronto Centre hotel.
